After messing about with different speedo's including koso i got fed up with the unreliabilty of them and farting about with pick-ups and magnets etc, I eventually took the plunge and treated myself to an anolgue gps speedo made by an American company called speedhut.. It came and what a bit of kit.. superb and easy to wire just connect it to 12 volts(dc unfortunately) position the antenna and away you go..proper odometer and trip and lots of other functions inc 0-60 timer, 1/4 mile timer etc etc..

I aquired a cheap head set and got a friend to machine me an ally ring .I then cut a hole in headset then got the ring tigged into the headset








filled and rubbed down



Etched primed , flated down and then filler primed and flated down again


Just got to get it top coated now to match scoot.
The speedo you get from speed hut is made to your own required colours ie face colour, bezel, ,digits and logo if required...

Just waiting to get the green top coat now..

Looks really nice now in primer (iang) I saw this yesterday for the first time and was really impressed in how trick it looks and how well you have finished it off,top job fella when can you do me one?

After reading your thread above regarding the dako digital temp guage.I came across these GPS speedo's yesterday
and wondered if they would be worth a go, I was also looking at speedhuts temp gauges also, but may run the dako based on your feedback.

This is super shallow..From bottom of face/bezel it's only an inch deep .The ring is 10mm deep so iv'e only got about 20mm inside headset..
