What is the best tool for porting work on a cylinder ?

dont mind them ...little in joke ...your a little vage though ...is the cylinder ally ,cast iron ,ally with steel liner ??

are you looking at just porting your cylinder? Then a cheapo Dremel-copy is enough, even if it will take you a wee bit longer.

if you want to do more work go for professional equipment - hang-up engine, flexible shaft, 6mm tungsten burrs, foot pedal operated speed switch, various handpieces, straight and angled for transfers. And this is just the minimum of tools you will need.

so in short pauls answer will probbably be your best bet
