Primer nightmare

In my haste to get a panel ready i threw quite a bit (see loads) of filler primer on to 2 low spots on the bodywork. I didnt really let them go off in between coats and then put normal primer over the lot. then left it overnight on the arga ready to flat off next day. Problem is that the 2 areas havent gone off after 2 days. Its like putty you can dig your nail in and then smooth out the mark with your thumb.... :?

Thers no filler under it to react but i dont think its going to go off now after nearly 3 days. The rest of the panel is fine and has flated perfectly. I think im going to have to scrape it clean and fill it with dolphin glaze and start again.... :(

Anyone else had this happen

I have a similar problem with the 2k laquer on my Jet, it hasn't fully hardened after nearly 2 years :wtf: I assumed that the laquer which I bought from ebay was at fault but I recently got talking to a paint supplier in Harlow who told me it was because the paint underneath had not fully hardened and the trapped solvent would continue to keep the top coat soft. I sprayed my scoot in similar conditions to yourself i.e. this time of year using electric heating prior to and after spraying.

You need to get that soft stuff off and allow a LOT longer between coats for full curing.
