Good question!!

I've got a PX200 with no battery and think that if I ever have an engine problem at night, I'd end up with no lights whatsoever which to me is dangerous. Even side lights would be better than nothing. I can't help thinking it's a big job to convert it.

Could you please supply a link to the guide you did as I can't find it. I've found one guide but the images were not available.

If not, are there any other guides you could suggest out there for doing the job. My engine is coming out in a few weeks so I might as well convert it while it's out.

BTW, where does the battery fit?

Cheers in advance.

Ok roughly as i remember this will only supply power and trickle charge the battery as the engine is running.
Mark it does not effect the lights you need the option you are on about mate :-)....
Wire the five pole with the power from stator and power from the battery to the pole on the regulater.. then earth from regulater to to the earth on battery then take the live feed from the regulater to one pole on the 12v socket and run an earth from battey terminal to the other pole i hang another bullet conector of this to feed another scource if needed
I know its a bit sketchy but
Its all comon sense when you step back and think about it
