Hi all, I have just got hold of a 30 mm power jet BGM carb. I've been told that as it's going on an Imola engine the power jet needs blanking off. Can anyone give me the low down on how it's done? Cheers Pete.

id run it with the power jet if u can set it up right as it will enrichen the fuelling at the top end where nearly all lambretta set ups lean off
but if not then take the pj connecting pipe remove from one end and insert a small ball bearing into the tube which should be a tight fit then reconnect it

Cheers for that mate, it already has a little bearing in the tube leading to the power jet. I got it from scooter centre, so it looks like they have already blanked it off for me. Thanks again Pete.

pleased to help
also
there are around 10 different copies of the pwk carb around and some have the power jet fitted, the ones with power jet also have different fitments some have the power jet flush with the carbs venturi some stick out approx 2mm some approx 5mm the different positions make a difference to when the power jet will flow based on a combination of operating rpm and throttle position. if your carb runs without power jet then the main jet normally needs increasing to cover for whats been blanked off so be careful and start big you can always jet down later if too rich
