Hi.
I see in eBay that Yambits sell RD400 conrods that are ok to convert a GP crank.
The conrod kit comes complete:


Must I modify the webs to admit this conrod and put this shims, big end bearing, ....? or must I buy something more?

You'll need to grind the inside faces of the webs and use thinner shims-Vespa p2 ones are ok.
Also the pin is solid on the RD rod kits . This upsets the balance of the crank so unless yours is mint you may have to factor in a new pin as well.

my rod kit rd 125 110mm length, pin was hollow,too long mind, and had to be shortened,and the webs ground as diablo mentioned

Then, better to use the original pin if its ok.

I've had 2 of these done no grinding or shimming. The only thing to watch out for is it makes the crank slightly wider so check if you need an extra mag flange gasket, I never have. Both were done by Dave at Frontline (old motorbike shop), South Bank, M'bro. Dave does lots of work for local lads on Lambrettas and really knows his stuff.

So, he doesn't fit any big end thrust washers?

I`ve run two lammies with Yamaha rodded cranks and neither crank were any wider than standard, and didn`t need extra mag flange gaskets
