approx 500 miles at 4%.

Don't be too gentle whilst running in- a little bit of caning now and again is OK- lots of short fairly fast journeys will pay dividends

Couldnt agree more. None of this 1000mls at 40/50mph bollox.I ran mine just round country lanes giving it a few beans in each gear.

Always run mine in on mineral oil for first 500 miles at 4% mix, helps bed them in and coke up any leaks.

I don't think 500 miles is enough personally. I agree you shouldn't be afraid to go up and down the gears and give it a go here and there, but don't push it to quick too soon. You'll know when the engine is right.

I am there with you Nev. I would run it say 800 miles on variable speeds making sure the scooter runs in all of its gears on equal efforts, never pushing it, with the exception of revving it downhill with the hand in the clutch. Clearances also will help a lot.
