cld any 1 tell me whats best way 2 firm front end up on series 1 ,is the only way 2 weld damper brackets on and go down that route.

dampers only slow down rebound, get some better springs.....not rock hard ones though.....just firm road ones.

im not 100% sure, i was just thinking about that mine are taffspeed but ive had them years......anyone else ???

MB progressive springs in mine, but if your trying to firm it up to stop dive after fitting a hydraulic brake then you'd need to look at other alternatives

I've just did it to my s1. Added escort dampers (not so great I think, but made a difference). Adding MB progressive springs improved it no endy. Oh, and get new bearings, rubbers and check the forks are all straight as well. Can't go wrong

I used the cambridge lambretta "ultimate" springs in my series 1 - about £15 for the pair, along with escort dampers - It handles really really nicely! by far the best handling scooter I have ridden
