should i finish restoring this DKW Hobby to original spec or should i modernise it with a modern engine and a few other upgrades.

Why ruin it by sticking some crap modern engine in it? It's just ham fisted butchery. IMHO of course.

it will stay 2 stroke and it is a auto now so i will be using the separate cvt gearbox unit, at the minute its a 75cc (memory)

do you have a pic of the frame under the rear section ?? im assuming this is removable ...

id stick a crosser engine or the aprilia rotax 122 in it but not on them wheels :shock:

if it has an auto box I'd put a single cylinder 12hp diesel generator motor in it just to annoy folk imvho
