I have decided I am going to put my Vega back to 75cc as it used to be. It is enough for potting around Barcelona and who knows, maybe I shall do a little trip on it as well (Barcelona-Roma or something crazy). The reason is also because I have aquired a Starstream which someone bought precisely to do a Vega conversion and took the cylinder, piston, head and crank. I already have a mad Lui 140 under construction at the moment.

So, I have a Japanese con rod that I bought many moons ago from Chislespeed and I wonder if that conrod needed some mods to be fitted? If a base gasket needs to be made (a packing plate) does anyone know if the exhaust will fit? One thing that I can't stand about the Starstream conversion that I have now on my Vega is that the original exhaust will not fit and I had to build these ugly metal conrods to tie it up with the crankcase.

Finally my last question is if I can use the Casalambretta kit on a four speed Lui crankcase and if it will make any difference or if I am just better off fitting the original Vega barrel.

Best regards and thanks for your help,

Jaime

So, I have a Japanese con rod that I bought many moons ago from Chislespeed and I wonder if that conrod needed some mods to be fitted? Yes think so if rod is longer.... If a base gasket needs to be made (a packing plate) does anyone know if the exhaust will fit? may need it dependent on how thick the Packer is

Finally my last question is if I can use the Casalambretta kit on a four speed Lui crankcase ? Lui is three speed do u mean vega for speed ?if so I think the lui has a different stud pattern to vega may be wrong tho and is the casa kit the parmakit?
