Mate has just brought headlight unit for his sx and the bullets are either to loose (red) or to big (blue) Its a CEV or a copy of one, has anyone else had this problem? Is there a bullet connector that sits between the red & blue or is it a case of yet more cra* scooter stuff.
If its the later has anyone got any suggestions, dont really want to go down the tin foil route....

A genuine CEV doesn't have that issue, at least the NOS ones I've used don't, sounds duff mate, or your bullets are. Contact the supplier(s) to discuss the issue, it's down to them to resolve it, fit for purpose and all that.

I concur, although I've never had an issue with red bullets on a decent CEV bulbholder

Bullets are fine its the the unit thats shi*. thinking a drop of solder inside each hole might allow the red ones to nip up? Think it was an ebay purchase so not sure what comeback he has or can be bothered with.....

Use a small terminal driver to turn the edges of the hole in so the bullet fits snug. I had a rear brake switch in which the loom connectors would waggle round like a pencil in the albert Hall. Used the terminal driver to bend the ends of the socket in and all was fine.
VWP Jap bullets and sockets are great and you can get clear rubber shrouds that stop any risk of accidental shorting. I personally wouldn't ever use the red/blue connectors, and I'm a spark.

You want the JB bullets & JB1 shrouds and then the JS sockets & JS1 sockets and the MP71 tool. These will do proper terminations. Or get the kit Knowledge sells.
