What are the options now to convert a TV175 cylinder to a reed valve?
I need only a piston.

I have just done a RD350 piston conversion on a SR175 barrel using 60 x 107 crank. I got 3mm taken off base off barrel. I think the TV 175 used a 58 x 116 crank. Would this mean you would need a packing plate? 6mm?

Have you a standard TV ( 58 x 116 mm ) crank already fitted Ackba?

Are you sure that youtake off 3mm with 60x107?, its possible that you have 60x110?

Are you sure that youtake off 3mm with 60x107?, its possible that you have 60x110?

Yes definately took 3mm off the base of a standard length barrel (101mm). I think if you use a 110mm rodded crank with a std barrel you dont need to remove anything.
I am sure I have a 60 x 107 mec crank. I only bought it earlier this year.

Ok.

Admiral - you need to find out what the compression height is for the RD 350 piston. Then you can work out what rod length / crank / cylinder machining best suits your intended set-up and pocket.
