Hopefully someone can help,
I started my sil gp 200 engine properly today, but can't get it to run right, it's running an open 30mm pbhb, to get it to tick over I have to adjust the throttle cable to lift the slide by about 1/4" as the idle screw wound right in is not enough,
even then it's not crisp & when throttled it bogs then clears but not great.
The big thing that's bothering me is just getting it to tick over.
According to quite a few set ups that are listed around, the carb seems jetted about right although for all the ones the same there seems to be twice as many different

AS266 atomiser
X2 needle 2nd clip down
125 main
70 choke
55 pilot
40 slide
Have tried x7 needle 2nd clip seemed better but at higher throttle

19deg btdc although not stobed

First thing to check is the choke especially if your on a cable choke. Look into the left hand side of the carb and you will see quite a large hole with a brass plunger in it. Operate the choke lever and you can see how the choke works by the plunger going up and down as the choke lever is operated.
If the plunger is not sitting right on top of the choke jet when the choke is closed it will let in excess fuel. You should have 1-2 mm of free play in your choke cable before you pull the choke lever to make sure the plunger is sealing the jet.
If its not this its sounds like a very rich condition. Try leaning the idle jet or slide or even the needle but looking at your set up, you should get it to tickover even with the x2 needle as your using an AS266 atomiser.
If the choke is not the problem try a 45 slide or a 48-50 pilot.

Oh yeah
Also check your float height (needs to be approx 24mm) and that your float needle valve is closing correctly and that the viton tip of the needle is not worn.
Do a search for "dellorto phbh float height" and you will find instructions on how to do this on the net.

After I watched that video clip you sent me I think its ignition Dom not the carb.

Spot on nelson pk, choke cable was to tight so wasn't sealing properly combined with a fast flow tap that flowed so slow it was a joke......
