anyone got an opinion as to its merits if it will fit the PHBH slide?

The potential benefit is that on a round slide carb the air "eddies" at small throttle openings causing turbulence and the mixture doesn't atomize as well as a flat slide. In fact thats why flatslides were created.
In other words throttle response is not as good as say with a flat slide carb which has a much better airflow through the slide.
However i think you would need a dyno session with an experienced operator to set it up correctly.

thanks nelson pk - gonna give em a ring and see if they will fit a PHBH, if not might have to make one as they seem simple and a good idea
