Are the clutch plates on my AF 6 Plate clutch knackered?

I need some pointers!

Was out on my GP on saturday coming back from Mot station and pulled away from a roundabout, 1st into 2nd then suddenly the bike died and stopped. Turned out the rear end had locked up. I struggled to push it home about 1/4 mile and it felt like the clutch was half engaged. Anyway stripped the engine down and checked the gear box and found that a tooth had come away from 2nd gear.
My mate got me the correct gear(Li150) from Wicksteed and I put it back together earlier this evening. Gearbox all ok but the clutch is not working properly. When I pull the lever in it feels as it did before but the clutch wont disengage and drive continues to the rear wheel. I have an AF 6 Plate clutch fitted and I'm thinking that maybe the plates have worn or the steels warped?

Any ideas as nothing is jumping out at me as where the problem lies - HELP!

Thanks again.

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

As far as i can see the brass plunger only goes in one way. I havent taken plate assy apart yet because i havent got a vice to compress it. I think that the plates could be causing the problem thou?

If it's an AF 6 plate you don't need a vice to take it apart or put it back together, just undo the Allen keys. Im guessing something else is wrong, I doubt it will need new plates, well I hope not....for your sake....because they are very hard to come by.
