.....exhaust, preferably in the North?

Just to explain. I want the tailpipe on a big bore / Clubman type exhaust to be re-routed to attach, with a spacer, to one of the top chaincase studs. Also, a plate on the bottom to protect from boulders and rocks :freak:

That exhaust sounds a bit extreme what you planning on doing with it?

I did spend a couple of years messing around with various copy Keihin's, yes. That was in one of my darker periods, before I saw the light :anbrgin;

Planning on doing a time trial next year. Involves several off road sections that look a bit challenging. These exhaust mods are not for performance gains, just to try and keep the exhaust in one piece over a full day :bigsm:

You could probably do with taking an angled slice off the bottom to give more ground clearance while you're at it Paul and don't forget the down pipe

I take it (storkfoot)that you don't like the oko any reasons why ?,I ask as I was thinking of fitting one instead of my delly but have been looking at a genuine kiehin as well.

This event sounds interesting what's it all about?

Copy Keihins __ I eventually got a bgm PWK28 to work pretty well on a Mugello 186 but it took absolutely ages to get it right and I spent a fortune on various needles and jets. They are also very temperamental as regards to float levels. I wouldn't use one again although I may be doing the carb a dis-service as the Mugello may have had issues of it's own.

Anyway, since then, I've set a TM24 up and a PHBH30 and both have been so easy to set up.

Oh, the time trial, just Google classic motorcycle time trials. There's a few around.
