converting disc brake hub

Can anyone tell me what the issues are with changing a hydraulic converted original front disc hub back to non hydraulic?

depends who did the convertion and how the cylinder was mounted

the back plate may well have been modified irriversably to accept the slave cylinder perhaps ...but it all depends how it was done ...older conversions used a screw in slave ,some utilised a bolt in one .
it all depends on what you have and how it was done

The slave is screw threaded in, I havnt a clue who done it as I picked it up at a parts fair, but thats the only mod made, a conversion to a screw thread.

its very likely then that the groove for the circlip in no longer there and the cost to weld and re machine will render your efforts pointless ...either stick with hydraulic or sell /swap for a standard one
