Evening all -- anyone know the secret of how to get side panel handles pointing straight forward. I bought some second had special panels and some new handles. Trying them for fit and one side is ok pointing forward, the other side is pointing further up. I've tried measuring various things but can't see anything obvious, but I've noticed handles on other scoots pointing all places. Any thoughts?
many thanks.

The handles and arms are handed and are not adjustable. so if yours aren't lining up correctly, you may not have a matching pair ?
When i was young my Mom said "if you haven't got anything nice to say, say nothing at all " ..................... and people wonder why I'm quiet around them !
The problem is not usually the handles, but the spring onto which they lock.

Thanks, handles seem ok -- they are handed, but when I put them on the bench together everything seems to point in the same direction - but opposite, if you know what I mean. The clip is new and also seems ok. Worried I guess that this only leaves the frame, or the panel is somehow not right....??
You say 'the clip is new' When i had the same problem as you, i used a new stainless steel clip because i thought it would look nice and shiny always. Unfortunately the handles were pointing upwards.
So i tried the old original dirty/rusty Innocenti clip. Ta dah! horizontal handles.

be warned re stainless clips!!
Mate of mine replaced his old one with a nice new shiny stainless one- within 200 miles it broke and his recently resprayed nearside panel started surfing down the A4.............
He's put the old clip back on, which can't be seen and ensures:-
1) the handles point in the correct manner
2) the sidepanels remain on the scooter
Old (like me and Daggsy) is good
