id change your exhaust, not your jets.

Until recently I ran the same gearing as you but with a jl4 and found the best main jet was a 290 and even got away with a 280 but up jetted just in case.
The transfers have been matched to the casing and the exhaust port has had a little work on it too!
Are you using gps for your speed check as to be honest if you are a ts1 doesnt really get that much faster in the real world!
I would say 80ish is probs the most you would get out of your set up with a gps reading unless its on your cut down as that has no legsheields as a wind break!

16/46 on LI150 is 7200 rpm for the 75mph. this is about the same as my TS1 revs with the JL3 exhaust. just I´m using 18/47 on the li150 and a koso32 which the engine pulls strong in each gear until the exhaust stops dead at around 7200. but 82mph is absolutely enough for me since i hardly use motorways and even there you are not allowed do go faster (at least in my country). with a little more exhaust timing you could certainly get him to rev further, but with some loss at the bottom of course.
the JL3 makes superb bottom end power, but absolutely refuses to rev high up. this suits a good roadgoing setup with long gearing but is definitely the wrong choice for revving up the scale.
either you change the exhaust, change the gearing if your engine is grunty enough or stay with what you have and save the hassle/money. i personally don´t think main jets will get you anywhere on this.

I agree.....the only place it will get you, is trouble....when you hole a piston.madmaex08 wrote:.....i personally don´t think main jets will get you anywhere on this.
