Dye to show hairline cracks

I need to check the casings on my GP200 SIL to see if there are any cracks, I have had a lot of difficulties getting the thing to run right and a number of people have suggested there could be a crack somewhere.
A mate told me he had heard of a colour / dye that can be poured on and will show up cracks, does anyone know what it is or where it can be bought?
Cheers
John

Cheers Bilko, did a bit of searching, it's f@@king expensive!! Wonder if anyone over here uses it that they could check them for me, prob cheaper than buying the stuff myself!

The system involved cleaning the surface with a powerful degreaser, the dye penetrant then a developer is prayed on and any cracks are picked out in Red.
This kit has all 3 components

but you might be better off asking at an engineering/welding specialist to get them to do it.

Dont know how much to send casing both ways.
Testing Vespa casing is £25, Lammy £30.
Or this is a good value kit.

Another way, you should have everything at home:
Spray WD40 over the suspect areas and let it soak in a little bit (10-15 minutes). Clean it away with some piece of cloth and tallow then some toothpaste over the same area. The WD40 was soaked into the cracks and as the toothpaste has dried, you should see some fine lines in the toothpase were the cracks are.
