hi, toying with the idea of running a clubman type exhaust on my ts 225. currently running a jl 3 pipe,35mm tmx mikuni carb & gp 200 gearing with 19x47 sprockets. just really want to know the pro's & con's -would it dramatically alter the kit & would i still be able to run the 35mm tmx & the current gearing set-up ? thanks for any idea's,info & input. db 67 :)

There are options, but what are your reasons, as this may have a bearing on what you could do?

hi, thanks for the quick reply,i'm more than happy with the set-up, just find it a bit thirsty !especially after doing mersea & back on it a couple of weeks ago.i'm hoping by using a different exhaust & carb, if i have to (though i would like to keep the tmx as it fits nicely under the panel !) & by doing this i could achieve slightly better mpg & a more torquey engine set-up ;) db67

If you want fuel economy ditch the carb. We fitted a 26mm PHBH Dellorto to a TS1 with a JL3 a while back and it ran perfectly.

Perhaps look at the Ron Moss/Supertune Avanti Pipe, he's tested the Avanti TT kit with the JL3 and his pipe, might be worth a pm to OAP on here
