hi lads, my son has a p200 its just started making a loud ticking noise but only in 4th! it had a new cush drive about 1000 miles ago and the gearbox is full of oil, selecting all 4 gears is not a problem.... any ideas thanks

Is it a genuine or pattern cush drive, was it brand new or a very good second hand one and how old is the engine?

I had two PX's in last year with problems with the cush drive (teeth braking off and causing damage in the engine).

I was told that the later batches of the PX had so many corners cut as they were bringing production to an end, getting very cheap components and fitting them....

i would say its a patern part, but new, even the geezer in the scooter shop said he has never heard anything like this noise before, thought maybe he has broke a gear tooth??.

Ok next question. Who fitted it, get them to look at it and sort it before it gets worse.
