I have it on good authority that there are 50 GT186 kits currently in production and on sale soon with the new porcupine head, price will be around £385 mark. Probably best to contact Gran Sport as they're taking pre-orders and nearly half are gone ;-)

I'm not sure that the final price has been decided but, yes, I'm on Gransport's waiting list for one. I'd toyed with the idea of an Imola but realised that all I want is a torquey little engine to get me to work and back.

Best get flogging some stuff on ebay if they're nearly ready :o

It is true, £385 is the traget but it is an "ish" target. VAT being 20% hasn't helped and I have to sit down with Gran Sport and work through the numbers to make sure everything pans out properly, at the end of the day the price will be what it is and no one will be coining it. There are still some estimated costs that are not confirmed.

What is confirmed is the quality of the casting, and it is absolutely top notch! The internal cores are still produced by the same supplier but the external sand patterns are now made in the foundry by hand (5 castings per day) using a different process and the quality is exceptional. If you thought it was good last time, well this time it is way better.

We are probably about 4 weeks away.

Speaking of the GT 186, has anybody run one with an ADS3 pipe? I would of thought it would be a good match , the pipe has loads of low down grunt and not alot of over rev just like the kit.

All I've hear from Guy, is great stuff about the materials that you use. Its too bad that I have already invested on a kit for daily use because I would have considered this. Sounds like a fantastic little piece of work.

Best,
J.

P.S: Do you also have the special aprilia ignitions for sale as well?
