having a go at spraying a vespa, had some reasonable results and some not so good. my question is on the main frame there is some dry/orangey parts in the clearcoat is it possible to blow over with more clear,i guess it would need keying/ flatting . can the new be blended to the old good bits

Hi,if i was you i would re flat it all down with say 600 wet /dry getting rid of the orange peel, use grey scotch in the awkward areas then re laquer the lot again with 2 coats.

suprisingly not, more like the choke/fueltap area as it was akward getting the gravity gun face on without turning the cup over. it was because th back end had come out alright that i wondered about blending. i realise why you need good side lighting as it is sometimes hard to see areas covered with clear. a big learning curve but satisfaction that i have done all the work myself.... and i like saving money
