Hi all, i'm having a few problems with my scoot cutting out once warm. It starts ok and runs sweet but once it reaches tempature it cuts out, leave it a while and starts again then cuts out. I'm thinking it could be a possible air leak??? It's an Imola kitted engine with standard metal manifold and 28mm Mikuni i have never been happy with the carb rubber ( scootrs ) also i have noticed oil coming form the mag housing gasket area, Would this cause the problems i've described? Any advice or comments very welcome. Thanks Pete

could be that, but could also be electrical, ie a coil on the stator that expands with heat and breaks but then contracts when cool and then you can start the scooter again.

On the subject of it being an imola did you have the crankcase welded up to ensure enough gasket face?

Yes mate I had the casing welded and matched to the cylinder. I'm going to change the mag gasket and i have a brand new stator which i'll fit at the same time. I'll report back my findings. Thanks for your time gents.

Thank god :-)

I would think it's more likely to be electrical though personally.

Hi all, I changed the stator for a new BGM one and changed the mag housing gasket and it's now running like a dream. Many thanks for your input. Cheers Pete
