Removed my old forks on my Gp on friday night and then fitted my freshly rebuilt 200 forks. Had fitted uprated springs, bolt in buffers in the bottom as the mountings for the clip in ones were mullered, new rods and links with the damper mounts welded on. Also new lower dust cover, lower bearing track and lower bearing. So began my problems. :shocking:
On fitting the forks I either had excessive movement at the bottom of the forks or to get rid of it completly they were too tight. After trying everything i could think of, another bottom bearing and new top bearing plus taking the forks out about 10 times, in desperation I managed to remove the bottom bearing track and cover from my old forks and fit them to the new ones.
Problem solved,

Just thought I would post this on here incase anyone else has brought a lower bearing track from SR and had the same problem as if i didnt have the old bits i could have been scratching my head for ages.
