Need help, have two small kids so have neither the mental capacity or time to be messing about trying to wire up the head light.

I can only seem to get main beam and a ducks fart of a horn to work and nothing else.

I have provided pictures somebody might be able to point me in the right direction.



These are the main loom wires Green, Black & Brown (New Casa lambretta loom fitted to replace mess that was there before)



These are the ignition switch wires 7 in all
Pink is earthed to handle bar then theres brown, Grey, Yellow, Black, Green & Orange. These are the wires i am having trouble placing.



These are the light switch wires blue and red to headlight, white to horn(not shown) and orange to ?



This is the new light terminal all the wires need to fit into.

i also have (not pictured) a brown from the horn, a black and a yellow from the speedo bulb

I am been given an hours leave from child minding over the weekend to try sort this out so any pointers greatly appreciated.

I'm no leccy but I've always managed to get wiring done as it's not that difficult really.

Have you a wiring diagram - most repair manuals have them, such as Sticky's spanners guide - the dl may not be in there but it's going to be the same or very similar to the GP diagram.

Easy stuff first - your matching colours of the loom to colours of the switches (ign & dip/main) into the junction box/lamp holder.

Green and green = ignition pair them together. The ignition is earthed when the switch is in off position so kills the engine.

Red & blue from H/bar switch = dip and main, put them either side of the bulb you can see the red spot in your pic of the holder, where the blue goes looks green though, ignore the green colour and put the blue in.

Orange off H/bar switch pair with orange from ignition switch.

Blacks - should be three, one from loom, one from ignition switch and speedo bulb, put together on one of the extreme sides of the holder, you can see a three group available marked blue or pink (?) in your pick

Yellow from ign switch = one side of the parking (festoon) light along with the earth from the headlight rim to the other side.

Browns = put together as a pair.

Grey = ?? Don't know and dont have a book to hand.

Something will have to feed the rear brake light and horn - see what colours are down at these (blacks will be earths)
If you have a multi meter get the bike running with the wires connected and measure out put of each wire (6v or 12v) when you go through the positions of each switch and it will give you an indication of what you arew trying to turn on/off.

Have you got the round junction box on the rear frame strut wired up, you will need to.
