upjet or down jet

i've got a ts1 200 that i've always run with a 34mm amal and got sick of filling up all the time so i bought a 30mm mikuni off a lad on here who had it on his ts1 225 and said it was running fine
on mine it runs a lot smoother and not so juicy which is what i wanted
the only problem is when i give it full throttle it just burbles away and doesn't accelerate,
when i close the throttle to about 1/2 to 3/4 it accelerates well
do i upjet or downjet or muck about with the needle?

the set up is
ts1 200
jl 3 pipe

this is the carb jetting spec sheet he gave me
powerjet blanked off
float valve 3-5
float 2-10
main jet 280 (it was a 290 when i got it)
pilot jet 30
slide 4-0
atomize/tube:622/0-4
needle: 5EL68
clip position2nd from top
mixture screw 2 turns out

any help would be appreciated

All I can say is that 280 will be on the rich side so don't be afraid to try weaker main jetting.

Fit a camLam PJ.
Gives a lot crisper bottom end.
This is what my TS runs

Main Jet: 200
Needle: 5EL68
Slide: 45
Pilot: 30
Float seat: 3.5
