lacquering after polishing

i want to protect polished aluminiun,
does anyone know if its ok to spray it with normal 2k clear?
would it bind ok?

The problem with 2k is getting it Off when it needs re-doing. I used to use something called Maglac on a set of polished alloys back in the 70's. It needed re-doing every year due the brake dust but the old stuff came off easily with thinners. I
I would just use clear acrylic
