Can anyone recommend what clutch would be suitable for a pretty standard ts1 225 kitted engine? The engine has a tmx 35,v-force reeds, devtour and lightened flywheel only.Would a standard four plate with stronger springs be ok? I have done the yamaha clutch lever conversion and will be using good quality nylon lined clutch cable, but don't want to have to have a popeye sized arm.Gearbox will probably be li150 with 46 tooth crownwheel.
Thanks.

i ran a standard clutch with heavy springs from mbd and the clutch slipped once 2 up at about 70 racing a hotdod. once it started slipping that was it. not bad for 12 years
i now use a reedspeed 6 plate but think if you are one up then just heavy springs are ok

correct set up is the most important think ive stripped other peoples slipping clutches to replace them with 5 plate ones ,most would not seperate enough so they got warm after a few miles and slipped i use 4 plates in a 5 plate crown wheel but a thinner top plate and bendind the bottom cork ears up does a similar jobas long as you corks dont measure more than 14mm when put together and you have a 2.5 mm top plat u should be ok,also no ridges in your crown wheel spider or clutch center ,make sure you have no rocking in the crown wheel as this means the spider needs some machining off ,check stickys for details check ,check and check again thats my moto
