As the title says, can anyone recommend a scooter friendly MOT centre in the North Hamphire area? I'm in Farnborough Hampshire but don't mind travelling to a decent test centre. Thanks in advance Pete

I took her for her MOT today and she passed without a hitch. The 2 guys who done the test looked her over, paid me loads of compliments on how she looked and chatted to me for about 20 minutes about how far Lambrettas have come ect. Then they tested the brakes, told me how good they were and passed it without even checking the lights, horn, tyres or anything else! I know all of those things were spot on but surely they should of tested them??

But how pissed off would you have been if you'd blown a bulb on the way there and they had checked? :x

No not at all, i'd bet my house that it would pass even the strictest inspection! I was just a bit surprised how easy going they were when ' testing ' my scooter.

it doesnt matter if you think it would pass you dont do the test, they do or should do but you admit they didnt test most of the test items on a public forum .
iam sure if they see this post they would be pissed off about it

I can see what your saying, but I didn't name the test centre and as they were both bikers i doubt they will see this post. As I haven't had to mot a scooter myself for quite a few years i was trying to ask if this was usual for a scooter mot test, obviously it's not! So first thing Monday I'm going to call them and insist they re test it. The most annoying thing is it cost me 30 quid and I don't feel i got good value and would rather they went over it with a fine toothed comb.
