Dellorto SI26 -any good?

Gents,

I'm currently using a PHBH30 on my 60mm longstroke Polini208 engine. The exhaust is PEP2, but a Sip Road arriving next days..

I think it might is a overkill with 30mm (and the induction noise kills me!), so I'm thinking of a Dellorto SI24 or 26.

Had a SI24 some years ago, but it didn't cool the engine enough, so had some heat-seizures on long motorway trips.
-thought then that a SI26 would be better?

But does anyone know of the quality of the Dellorto SI26 carbs?

And how would it be to jet it for my engine?

Rgrds,
Øyvind

its nothing to do with the bore size of the carb that cools your scoot and prevents siezes its the jetting /setting up

OK, but I read somewhere that the SI carbs was no good of cooling engines, due to the "short" manifold, meaning a PHBH with a Malossi or polini inlet manifold, would cool better.
True or false?

But if a SI is good enough, fine with me!

But how should I then jet a SI carb?

Setup is as mentioned above, and the casings are mildly ported to the sylinder, but nothing in the inlet.

24 or 26 will be suitable as long as it is jetted correctly

would imagine 140/be3/132 then come down on the main and up the pilot by slightly should be a good start

i`ve used both and found no difference with the 26 over the 24 both were spaco
