centre stand

Hey all, is there a way of adjusting the centre stand so its easier to pull the scoot on and off ! its especially hard to roll the scoot off once its on the stand !!

No, not really. Does your front wheel sit clear of the floor when its on the stand? If so then you will always struggle. If not try some WD40 on spring and u clamps, that may help.

Mines that hard to get of the stand it doubles as an anti-theft device. Would take at least 4 pin-head scroats running at it like a bobsleigh team to make off with it.

yeah ! the front wheel sits clear of the road, was told something about putting extra plates behind the brackets ! not sure what they meant ?

sounds like your stand is not as near to the vertical as it should be...?
so could be the frame strut has bent over use, straighten this up, then make [or buy for about £2.50] some plates to spread the load.
It might also be that the stops on the stand are at the wrong angle so don't stop the stand soon enough, cut and reweld these, or weld some more to them...
Then you might find that when the stand is at the right angle, the wheel is way off the ground, so you'll need to cut some off each leg...
Most aftermarket stands seem to need most of the above doing to get them to sit right, and not be a major heave to get off the stand...
It's a chore of a job, because you'll probably need to keep taking the stand off and refitting it to get it right...

Could someone post a pic?
Are these indion (or similar) remade stands with the stops in the wrong place?
I've never seen a Lambretta that is hard to get off the stand.. A simple lift up and forward, and up it flicks.

Minds harder to put on the stand.Changed the u clamps but one sits at an angle so i guess somethings bent..............
