Flogged both PXs earlier this year and picked up the Spanish Li125...dating certificate from matching engine and frame numbers put it at 1972. Guess various bits n bobs been changed over the years and its just come back from some engine work including a Casa 185 kit.

All the works and loads of photos all being logged at my blog;

its not ruff, its bleeding tidy!! my Serveta crumbled its way to the shed rally and a slight drunken spill on the campsite straightened up a bit of the bodywork!! pretty sure that its not a 72 though, its def a US spec model that didnt make it to the states i reckon. that rear frame ignition system wasnt specced up til much later and the headset is probably 77 onwards ish, id put this bike at 77/78/79. 5000 for an SX200, yeah right, Jets are the new old new.After px's youre gonna feel a real mechanic on the rally when you see all those oily,damaged sausage fingers clung to your beer glass everytime you lift it for a gulp.

I think I'm having de jevu too with this. :x

The Boot is a bitsa, I don't reckon the headset or seat frame are original with the scoot, the gearchange came off a GP and theres several other bits n bobs but as I said on the 'other' forum I really dont really care about the age, but all I can go on is the dating certificate provided by the British Lambretta Archive dating it as 1972 based on the (matching) frame and engine numbers.
I'm not claiming its an Italian scoot and I'm not claiming anything that I havent got a piece of official paperwork telling me so I don't see why I get comments like that, if you want to appreciate what it is and whats being done, fair play...if you want to be pedantic over dates then point made.

Russ, I just get frigged off with nitpicking for the sake of it, the 'other forum' replies got my back up, you caught me without nicotine. The cert says what it says and who am I to argue?...besides I think I look a much later model than the date put on my dating certificate, but I can dream :bigsm:
