hi all, just fitted a bgm voltage regulator and the instructions say you can run a sat nav direct from the dc output,so ive wired a cigarette lighter in and plugged my sat nav to it and its gone haywire, has anyone else succesfully done this without wireing a battery between the dc output and the sat nav

If this is the little £20 bgm jobbie, I run my tom-tom ( via lighter socket) and my MB speedo, and my Egt backlight and it all works great.
