Engine Mounts question

Just got these from a friend. They are for an engine I'm building with a TS1. Is this type of mount any good? I notice the rubber has started to separate in a couple spots on the one mount, is this something to be concerned with?

The rubber is thin around the edge and probably doesn't help. Difficult to know what to suggest really. It may be it's just the edge. But you can't know. Or how it will perform with all that vibation. I'd be inclined to trim the flash off with a modelling knife so you can see it better. But that's just me.

definitly split and will rapidly get worse
buy new sil ones for 10 quid a go or upgrade to the andy francis long one
my andy francis one didnt go under the panel so cut 5mm from the length and trimmed the half nut thread so it didnt protrude from the nut - job done but i think others seem to have them fit ok

Are you reffering to the one on the kickstart side? Had one on mine when i wasnt running pannels and then swapped to a normal one when i put the panels back on. Im not sure if there was any real differnce in handling or comfort but im intersted to here other peoples views who have used both.
