Not to worried either way, lovely pipe, feels like it's kicking in 3-4g's and then just keeps pulling and pulling and puling and pullling and pulling.
Anyone got any other info to go with this pipe?
Much appreciated
Well, I am thinking it is a MK 1, 1989 as that is what appears to be stamped on it. Looks like a DJ pipe(incorperated end can) and it has a distinctive note to it, even when packedmawso wrote:Sorry can't answer your question really, I think the mans name who carried on with them after is Eric Jacks. Not. 100% on that, but whoever it is has been selling new Vespa pipes on eBay recently.
But I hoped you could answer my question: Do you know what MK?/model yours is and what engine do you run it on? I have one an had it dechromed recently...now the stamping is a lot clearer I can see it reads Mikeck MK 6 88 - looks same as a DJ pipe. Also do you have runner boards on with this pipe, did you have to trim much off them?
Had wanted to run mine on an iron 190 with LI 150 16 / 47 but was worried it either wouldn't pull it or it would just scream and run out of steam too quick.
The noise they make is unmistakeable, a unique tone...yours a bit like that?
Last thing; when you say it keeps pulling - is that a power band you've hit or does it have a decent amount of torque?
Thanks muchly
My Mikeck is stamped: MK3R Mikeck 8/85 which I have always assumed was a Mark 3 from 1985, so it's unlikely a MK1 would be stamped 1989?dirtyhandslopez wrote: Well, I am thinking it is a MK 1, 1989 as that is what appears to be stamped on it.
