Maybe gonna fit a sidestand on a S2 frame, any tips on the strongest stand to use, where to fit it and any reinforcements required to ensure a good strong and safe stand?

Cheers

I used an old buzzetti side stand on my series 1. You're right to think about the best place to mount it as the floor struts aren't that strong on early models.

I got Paul at Atoms to modify the bracket, adjust the rake of the stand and weld it to the main frame.

I've always liked the idea of a side stand but it can mess your footboard stuts up. I believe Scootrs have one which I might get for a Skelly I'm building.

:-D Cheers Byron you're a star ;-)

I know Sean's a smart cookie, so, any reason for the stand to be on the right side as opposed to the left, and is the brace round?

Mr Brady fits side stands on the other side as the engine weight is more prounced on that side...smart arse or what.. :D ;)

ask yourself which way a lamby naturally wants to lean in the most stable way and where the weight lies ...it is of course on the engine side .
