3 or 4 kicks when its warm

my vespa t5 starts first kick when its cold and with choke. however when its warm and no choke takes 3 or 4 kicks and when its warm with chocke takes 2 or 3 kicks. any idea why?

In my experience it's a carb that needs setting up/fine tuning.
I had it a lot to begin with and when I finally got it sorted the scoot kicked 1st time, every time, warm or cold.

hasnt made any differnece to how many kicks it takes to start when its warmed up

If the rings are worn it will be harder to start when warm.

i agree with Al,its well worth putting new rings in as T5s do ware them out at a high rate compared to other vespas
