Hi just sold an italian LI150 gearbox out of a scooter i imported from italy 3 years ago on ebay and the buyer has emailed me to say that the 2nd gear isnt stamped with the innocenti logo. Im 100% sure that its the origonal gearbox, is there any reason why one of the gears wouldnt be stamped? I have to go back and explain this to the buyer.... :?

Wasn't there a batch of fake second gear cogs in the mid 60s?

:D

To be fair, customer must be a bit of a knobhead to think you'd sell him a gearbox with three real gears and one cog that is impersonating a gear.

Money back.. fu ck him off. Someone else will have it :)

sold one on ebay about 8 months ago from an 1966 LI 150 I knew was genuine and hadn't been tampered with and the second gear wasn't stamped Innocenti, the person who bought it off me was a well known dealer,he was happy with it.heres the picture of it,no mark on second.

I agree- for some reason the second gear isn't always stamped/ engraved , but is genuine.

Stripped an italian gearbox the other week and it was exactly the same, no stamp on second gear.... had me wondering for a couple of mins.
