clutch springs question

I dont think the springs i have in my 5 plate clutch are quite up to the job. I did have a centre spring in prev to this and it worked fine but was hard work on the wrist after a while. Twinny has suggested putting vespa springs over the current ones. Question in have is would this be more or less stiffness on the lever over that of a centre spring or not....

?
