Cheers in advance.

Don't know the answer to your question but there was a company called Creveta (sp?) that imported from Spain from about 1980 when the supply of Indian machines dried up.

Might be worth putting a call through to AF Rayspeed. Might be a bit of a long shot but they were selling new Indian GP's into the '90s

Ray Kemp was definately importing Indian GP's in 1981, I remember him showing me several new ones which had arrived from the factory in appalling condition! I believe they had to be thoroughly checked over mechanically and completely repainted.

just aquired a largely original x reg or 1981 SIL gp and it was sold new by Beedspeed i beleive. im fairly sure the original supplier to them was Raffety Newmans. that said i can remember a lot of new machines in AF Rayspeed and i cant imagine them not going Direct.i also remember new machines at Bedlam. maybe during that period there was a bit of a free for all from the factory?? my T reg indian GP i owned in 1987 to 1990 was the best standard scoot ive ever had (well except p200e's) and ran like a clock mile after mile, build quality was so-so but with a little fettling it was a great rally bike, no paint issues and gearbox, barrell, crank were all brilliant.that said my memory isnt that great anymore and even the dogs i shagged in 87 would be the highlight of my year now.

I dont think you are diferentiating between Indian & Spanish machines. There is definetely a difference. I know for sure that Kegra Racing imported Servetas on the 80's, as well as Midland Scooter Center.

Empire Garge of Sheffield on Machon bank didnt half shift a load of new GP's and Servetas. long after Armandos scooters had swapped to Vespa and all the others Ravi kept selling GP's and Jets. He had possibly the last new unsold/unloved GP's in the country for sale about 1998. the 25 year specials in candy colours. not an importer but the only way to buy a new GP in Southyorks/ notts i reckon.
