in a tuned engine with slightly higher compression, is it better to use normal unleaded or super unleaded?

i always thought that its better to use super in higher compression cylinder-kits, but who knows
with modern-juice chemistry ...

mb recommends to use normal unleaded fuel NOT super unleaded for his new RT-kits.

higher octane is best but many people claim the addatives in super are breaking down the two stroke oil which is killing the motors.

im building everything to run on 2 star thats been in a can since 72 as im fed up with the hassle of it.

i may be wrong but im under the impression that 30bhp can be had from an rb225 with a low comp head so for road use im wondering whats the point in high comp anymore when better ways of getting power are out there.
