This would be more of a long term project but I just can't scratch the itch that is telling me that I could really do with an LD Auto conversion. Apart from seeing a couple in pictures I know nothing about them.
What is the ballpark figure for the conversion work and what engine is most suitable? I'd want it to look as standard as possible and not go any bigger than 10" for the wheels. Brakes that work and a fair turn of speed would be nice too.
I've restored four "normal" Lambrettas so I'm not a mechanical duffer but this is a bit outside of my comfort zone.

Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.
dont know about price on conversion depends who does it i.e. dave briggs, frank sanderson, fatty, but i think u should use a piaggio typhoon/aprilla sr (air cooled)gilera runner/italjet dragster(lc) engine unit as u can easily get big bhp out of these and theres plenty of scope for tuning parts for these and also these engines are what most use in their conversion air cooled would be best as no rad needed ect ect the best place to ask is in auto section some 1 may have all the answers 4 u
