I am changing the cylinder head on my 210 malossi as the malossi one I have is 12.5.1 compression and I think its to high as I get ocassional pinking even though Im running a Mtech retard system. I have looked on SIPs site and they have many different types with different compression ratios. I do like the look of SIPs own heads with a ratio of 11.3.1. Is this still high or should I get a lower ratio one.. :? Whats everyone using and why?

Malossi's instructions say 10.5.1. But there centre plug head is 12.5.1. But SIP offer heads at 10.8.1 , 11.3.1 , 11.5.1 , 12.1 , 12.5.1.
They offer there own heads at 11.3.1 and 11.8.1 All of this is leaving me confused (which is easy) SIPs own heads look the best as the others are machined 200 heads.

Nowadays most people are running lower compression ratios which I think is wise. Around 11-1 seems pretty safe but I think you would be ok with 11.3 if you want to use SIPs head.
Whatever you do don't confuse squish with anything to do with the compression. Getting this right will help to cool the top end anyway.

Mmw also do an oringed 10.8:1 head which one of my mates uses on his 210 which hasnt had any pinging issues, im using an mmw 11.5:1 head with slight pinging
