Parts reccomedations

Scoot is easly knocked out of gear and appears to be getting worse. I have recently changed the clutch plates and am happy with that so presume that the issue lies in the gears and or attached parts.

Currently have an indian GP 200 box running on 18 x 47 and am pretty happy with it as it pulls in all gears albeit with a bit of a gap between 2nd & 3rd. Im trying to get hold of a late pacemaker at present which i want to try with the same 18x47 set up. The question I have is where to buy the rest of the parts, sliding dog, layshaft etc to make sure im not swapping like for like... :? Id love to be able to weigh out for an mb/DAC layshaft but the budget doesnt stretch that far... :( but at the same time i want to avoid cheap tat will cost me in the long run. Im running an RB20 which i give some welly so any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Sliding dog
Layshaft
selector springs & bearings

Not sure if i need to change any more than that, what do you reckon?.... :D

Well I would put a new spring in and try that. It's a bit of a pain in the arse, but you don't want to be spending money unnecessarily.

As above i would change the spring and ball bearings but just to be safe i would be tempted to change the sliding dog and that should sort the jumping out of gear. If the layshaft doesn't have any pitting on the bearing surfaces and the teeth/threads for fitting the rear hub are ok i would stick with what you've got unless you've got the cash for an MB one.
If you get a new sliding dog check that it moves up and down on the layshaft freely as its not uncommon for the indian ones to need a little finishing.
Pete.

And make sure you take all the casting burrs of the new sliding dog otherwise it will snap in a powerful motor

Taffspeed was redressing Italian ones last year, I had a couple done and was impressed with them and they are still in my engines in good order as well
