Why bother with a 5 plate, clutch a decent standard clutch wouldn`t do, wouldn`t it ?

I have just recieved my Saigon 5 plate clutch. I'm going to fit it in my JB tuned Imola (20 BHP ish). I was a bit worried it would'nt handle the power of my engine so i asked Pat for some uprated springs, he sent them to me F.O.C and also included 5 clutch plates also F.O.C. Thats what i call good service. I'm going to fit it tomorrow, i'll let you know how i get on with it.

I'm inetersted to see how you get on with the Saigon clutch too...had to take mine out, issues with machining and springs. We'd already altered the the side case to accomodate it too.

Gone back to 4 plate with good springs, which was always good enough anyway. If you're set on a 5 plate then Scooter Restorations have been doing one for years that nobody ever mentions. I've had one since 2001 and fits standard.
