40 proved to be the magic number again. Villa ended the season OK, beating Arsenal and Liverpool and finished the highest placed Midlands club (think it was the highest they had been all season). Added bonus of the blues going down to a late goal.............................

I have to say for entertainment value in the Premier League, Blackpool & their manager came tops for me. I would have liked to see them stay up.
