Crankshaft fitting question

I've taken delivery of a new crank for my GP, with the crank came 3 gaskets (different thickness's's)to suit the mag housing and 2 steel shims, 30.8OD 25.9ID 1.07 and 0.55 thick respectively.
It's a full circle crank with a 110 Jap rod.
What do I do with the gaskets and shims, what do I need to measure, where do the shims go, what do I look out for?
cheers

Can't remember the width of a crank off hand but 40.5mm is what I think it is.
When you fit your crank whatever it's width it rests on the drive bearing and oilseal shoulder on the crank.
If the crank is wider than it should be then the mag housing can rub against the crank web on the mag side.
Your spacers and gaskets are used to prevent this as well as sealing the gasket face.
You need a clearance of around 12 thou of an inch between maghousing and crank.
Just use what you have to give the best clearance, u dint have to use all of them.
