I seem to remember reading that the two share the same flywheel. Is that correct and would that be the same for the stator's.
It would be nice to get a modern electronic ignition and powerful lighting on a rotary valve engine with such a beefy crank and bearings set up.
Thanks, - Ralph.
SS 180 and Rally 180 Flywheel stator question.

Come on Ralph, put some effort into a quick web search!
http://www.scooter-center.com/scoweb/pa ... URBELWELLE
"In addition, the crankshaft stub is blunt, just like that of the SS 180, Rally 180 and Rally 200 models, which is why it can be used with flywheels for these types. PX and all other flywheels do not fit!"
Sounds like a yes to me.
Will we see you at micro footie tonight?

Hey Mister.
Sounds like a yes to me? Do you always trust what gets written by someone wanting to sell you something?
I just thought there may me someone who's checked 1st hand. I'd love to see the cranks side by side.
Work got in the way of Microfootie tonight. - R.

Scooter Center knows their s**t for the most part, I would trust the info. If you are really worried why not just get a hold of Paolo or Peter and see if one of them have a spare flywheel to test on your crank taper? It seems like your biggest problem is that you will need a P/late rally stator and ss180 flywheel which you'll need to buy separately.... and vespatronic stuff doesn't come cheap. Plus for all you know the stator/flywheel mismatch might not line up at the trigger and pickup....
